Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Announces Rs 10 Lakh Cash Reward for IPL Sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for 14-year-old cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, following his record-breaking century in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
14-year-old cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 101 runs off just 38 balls for the Rajasthan Royals against the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, making him the youngest player to achieve a century in T20 cricket and the second-fastest in IPL history, after Chris Gayle’s 30-ball century in 2013.
Suryavanshi’s remarkable innings led the Rajasthan Royals to a commanding eight-wicket victory. His performance has been widely celebrated, with Chief Minister Kumar praising his talent and dedication.
“Congratulations and best wishes to Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Bihar, who became the youngest player (14 years) to score a century in the history of IPL. He has become a new hope for Indian cricket as a result of his hard work and talent. Everyone is proud of him,” CM Nitish Kumar said.
He further announced the state government’s decision to award Suryavanshi Rs 10 lakh in recognition of his achievement.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan also commended Suryavanshi’s performance, describing it as a “beautiful start” to a promising career. He expressed confidence in the young player’s bright future in Indian cricket.
Suryavanshi’s accomplishment has not only brought pride to Bihar but has also inspired young athletes across the country. His dedication and skill at such a young age highlight the potential for emerging talent in Indian sports.
