Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid an emotional tribute to his late wife Manju Kumari Sinha on her death anniversary, honouring her memory in both Patna and his native village.

Nitish Kumar Pays Tribute to Late Wife on Her Death Anniversary

Patna: On Wednesday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar marked the death anniversary of his wife, the late Manju Kumari Sinha, by offering a floral tribute at her memorial in Patna and his native village of Kalyan Bigha.

In a solemn ceremony at Manju Kumari Sinha Smriti Park in Kankarbagh, Kumar laid flowers at her statue, joined by his son Nishant Kumar, elder brother Satish Kumar, and other family members. Later in the day, the Chief Minister travelled to Kaviraj Ramlakhan Singh Smriti Vatika in Kalyan Bigha, where he once again paid respects at the statue of his late wife.

At the same site, Kumar also honoured the memory of his parents, the late Parmeshwari Devi and Kaviraj Ramlakhan Singh, by garlanding their statues. The Chief Minister visited the Devi Mandir in the village to pray for the happiness, peace and prosperity of Bihar. He also took time to listen to grievances from local residents and instructed officials to address their concerns promptly.

The memorial events were attended by several political and social dignitaries, including Minority Welfare Minister Md Jama Khan, Vice President of the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority Udaykant Mishra, MLAs Krishna Murari Sharan and Jitendra Kumar, Legislative Councillor Sanjay Kumar Singh, and others. They paid homage by garlanding the statue of the late Manju Kumari Sinha alongside the Chief Minister.
