PATNA: Prashant Kishor, the convenor of Jan Suraj, has taken a swipe at the ongoing corruption investigations surrounding Tejashwi Yadav, expressing concern over the diminishing political morality. Kishor remarked that the current state of political ethics has reached such lows that accountability is now in question.
Speaking on the investigations, Kishor stated, “The compass of political morality has fallen so low that it is time to blame someone. CBI or any investigating agency should file a charge sheet, and someone should resign. However, I don’t believe that, given the nature of politics these individuals engage in, they would willingly step down even if charged by the CBI.”
Adding to his commentary on the Bihar government’s stability, Kishor offered insights based on his understanding, asserting that he doesn’t anticipate any significant changes in Bihar before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. He addressed the formation of the Grand Alliance, emphasizing that its impact is limited to Bihar and is unlikely to extend beyond the upcoming national elections.
Kishor’s predictions seem to be taking shape, as recent developments saw the departure of leaders such as Manjhi and Upendra Kushwaha from the Grand Alliance. Highlighting the challenges of running a government with multiple parties, he drew a distinction between governing and political collaboration, asserting that it is impractical for a coalition of parties to effectively engage in politics and contest elections together.
