Accused Surrender in Patna’s Boring Road Firing Case; Police Seek Remand for Engineering and Hotel Management Students

Patna: Patna police have secured 48 hours’ remand for the three men accused in the recent firing incident on Western Boring Canal Road, where shots were fired targeting locals. The accused – Rohit alias Alter, Shibu, and Shanu – surrendered at the Patna Civil Court and are currently being interrogated.

Authorities hope the questioning will reveal information about the weapon used in the attack and possibly expose other criminals involved. The incident took place near New Punaichak, where a black Scorpio without a number plate rammed into a parked car before a fight broke out between youths. After locals intervened and dispersed the group, the same men returned hours later and fired six rounds.

Despite heavy security, including undercover police officers at the court, the accused managed to surrender voluntarily before being arrested. Police continue their investigation to piece together the chain of events and identify further suspects.
