Patna: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has reportedly finalized its seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, with the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] expected to contest 102–103 seats and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 100–102 seats out of the total 243 constituencies.
The remaining seats are anticipated to be distributed among smaller allies: Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) [LJP(RV)] is likely to field candidates in 25–28 constituencies, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) in 6–7, and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) in 4–5.
This arrangement mirrors the seat-sharing formula adopted during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, reflecting the NDA’s strategy to maintain alliance cohesion and electoral strength.
While formal discussions among alliance partners are ongoing, sources indicate a broad understanding has been reached, aiming to prevent internal discord and present a united front against the opposition.
The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled for October-November 2025.
