
Buxar: A leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Dadan Azad, was shot by unknown criminals in Bihar’s Buxar district on Wednesday night. The incident happened around 10pm near the Baradhi bridge, which falls under the Bagen Gola police station area.
Azad, who is also a lawyer and lives in Salsada village under Navanagar police station, was riding a motorcycle back from his sister’s home in Bhadwar village when the attack took place. According to early reports, the criminals shot him from behind, possibly after a failed attempt to snatch his bike.
He was seriously injured and taken to Patna for treatment. Doctors say that his condition is now stable and he is out of danger.
Police have started an investigation into the case. The reason behind the attack is still unknown. Officers are checking all angles, including robbery and personal enmity.
