Government of Bihar Gears Up for Republic Day Celebration with Vibrant Tableau

Patna: In adherence to the directives of the Government, the upcoming Republic Day, 2024, will witness a spectacular display of tableaus at Gandhi Maidan, Patna. Fourteen government departments of Bihar are set to showcase their achievements and initiatives through these vibrant exhibits.

The Law Department is all set to showcase the significance of Lok Adalat and the provision of free and competent legal aid. Simultaneously, the Women and Child Development Corporation, operating under the Social Welfare Department, will highlight the remarkable achievements of women from Bihar who have excelled in the Civil Services Examination.

Moving forward, the Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department will proudly present seven years of unparalleled efforts in de-addiction. The Tourism Department aims to captivate audiences with a tableau themed around Eco Tourism and Adventure Sports.

Jeevika, operating under the Rural Development Department, focuses on showcasing the positive impact of its sustainable livelihood scheme, empowering economically disadvantaged families. Meanwhile, the Art, Culture, and Youth Department will commemorate the birth centenary year of Jannayak Karpuri Thakur.

Shifting gears, the Department of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change will celebrate 50 years of unmatched contributions, specifically highlighting the achievements of Patna Zoo. The Bihar Education Project Council intends to showcase the changing landscape of schools in Bihar.

The Bihar Gram Swaraj Yojana Society, operating under the Panchayati Raj Department, will present the concept of a Digital Panchayat, emphasizing its dynamic nature. The Water Resources Department will feature the impressive Gayaji Dam, while the Labor Resources Department focuses on the journey “From Labor to Employment.

Furthermore, the Bihar State Sports Authority in Patna aims to incentivize achievements by promoting the slogan “Bring medal, get job.” The Urban Development and Housing Department in Bihar, Patna, will showcase the transformation of seemingly unusable materials into something amazing.

Last but not least, the Directorate of Agriculture in Bihar, Patna, emphasizes the importance of Crop Diversification as the foundation for agricultural progress. Each department’s tableau contributes to the diverse and dynamic narrative of Bihar’s progress and accomplishments.

To ensure seamless execution, each department has appointed a nodal officer responsible for overseeing 100% compliance with the government’s instructions.

Patna District Magistrate, Chandrashekhar Singh, emphasized that the tableau aim to showcase the government’s developmental initiatives, public welfare schemes, social reform campaigns, and women empowerment programs. A dedicated three-member committee, headed by Patna Deputy Development Commissioner, Tanay Sultania, is working around the clock to supervise preparations. The committee includes Patna District Nazarat Deputy Collector, Madan Kumar, and Patna District Public Relations Officer, Lokesh Kumar Jha.

A specially constructed pandal at Gandhi Maidan will host the tableau presentations, with the structures reaching a maximum height of 15 feet. Notably, all participating artists must be aged 15 years or older.

Security measures are a priority, with an anti-sabotage check planned before the entry of tableaux into Gandhi Maidan. The final touch will come with a rehearsal of the tableaux scheduled for January 24, ensuring a flawless and vibrant display on Republic Day.
