Patna: Former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav has raised serious concerns about the law and order situation in the state. Speaking to a news website, he said that no one is safe in Bihar now. “Anyone can throw a bomb at us or shoot us,” he said. Tej Pratap added that crime has spread everywhere, even in Patna’s VIP areas, and people are scared.
He said that he holds public darbars to meet people but worries that anything can happen there. “We hold public darbars here, someone throws a bomb, someone fires a bullet. We are not safe anywhere,” he said. Tej Pratap questioned how common people can feel safe if leaders themselves are not protected.
Tej Pratap blamed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the rise in crime. He said, “The law and order in Bihar has completely collapsed. Nitish Kumar has become very weak and cannot run the government. Criminals are creating fear openly in Patna and all over Bihar.” He also claimed that many people in the government and administration are helping criminals.
Recently, Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled Tej Pratap Yadav from the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the family. Even after that, Tej Pratap remains active in politics. He has announced that he will contest the upcoming assembly elections. For the last few days, he has been holding public darbars at his residence, listening to people’s problems in his unique style.
