Political Turmoil in Bihar: Chirag Paswan Meets Amit Shah and JP Nadda Amidst Speculations

Amit Shah meeting Chirag Paswan in Delhi

Delhi: In the midst of the swiftly evolving political landscape in Bihar, Chirag Paswan, the national president of LJP (Ram Vilas) and Jamui MP, held a crucial meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda. The meeting transpired at Amit Shah’s residence in Delhi on Saturday, marking a significant development.

The discussions between Chirag Paswan, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda lasted for approximately half an hour, with the focal point being Nitish Kumar. Chirag Paswan has found himself in a challenging position due to the ongoing talks about Nitish Kumar’s potential re-entry into the NDA. Ahead of the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections in 2020, Chirag Paswan had vocally criticized the policies of the Nitish government.

Following Nitish Kumar’s rumored return to the NDA, questions arise about Chirag Paswan’s stance and the actions he plans to take. When queried about this after the meeting with Amit Shah, Chirag did not provide a clear statement, leaving an air of uncertainty. While addressing the media, he emphasized the need for clarity on whether Nitish Kumar is rejoining the NDA. Currently, Nitish Kumar serves as the Chief Minister of the Grand Alliance government, while Chirag Paswan and his party LJP (Ram Vilas) remain part of the NDA.

Chirag Paswan, in his interaction with the media, refrained from disclosing his strategy. He acknowledged the ongoing speculations regarding Bihar’s political landscape over the past two days and stated that he presented his views strongly to JP Nadda and Amit Shah. The discussions during the half-hour meeting covered various topics, including the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Chirag Paswan characterized the conversation as colleagues sharing perspectives and expressed anticipation for a clearer picture in the days ahead.
