Governor Arlekar Champions Women’s Progress and Education at Patna Women’s College Annual Gala
Patna: Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar graced the annual function of Patna Women’s College on Saturday, emphasizing the remarkable strides that women are making in diverse fields today. Acknowledging the efforts of many contributing to this transformative environment, he highlighted the potential benefits for daughters under the proposed Uniform Civil Code.
Governor Arlekar encouraged drawing inspiration from Bihar’s rich history and traditions while cherishing the present. Addressing the college students, he stressed the pivotal role of the youth in realizing India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Advocating for a dedication to the country and society throughout their lives, the Governor urged daughters to become employment providers rather than job seekers, aligning with the National Education Policy, 2020.
Expressing admiration for Patna Women’s College, the Governor lauded its 83-year journey, recognizing its significant contributions to the country’s development. He commended the institution’s readiness in embracing the National Education Policy, 2020.
The event featured a cultural program and the Governor presented awards to several outstanding female students for their exceptional performances. The Vice Chancellor of Patna University, Prof. Kangsi Sinha, and Bihar Public Service Commission Chairman Atul Prasad also addressed the gathering. Patna Women’s College Principal, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi AC, along with teachers, students, parents, and attendees, participated in the event.
