National Defence College Delegation Engages in Firsthand Assessment of Developmental Initiatives in Danapur and Bihta

Patna: A delegation of 16 officers from the National Defence College, Delhi, embarked on a comprehensive tour today, covering seven key locations in the Danapur subdivision and Bihta block. The purpose of the visit was to gain firsthand insights into the implementation of various developmental projects initiated by the government.

During their visit, the delegation explored several key sites, including the Upendra Maharathi Craft Institute, MNREGA works at Sadisopur Primary School, encompassing the construction of boundary walls and plantation activities. They also visited Simri Village Panchayat, the Painathi Sub Primary Health Centre, Bihta Police Station, Danapur Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, and the Abhilasha Jeevika CLF in Dhibri Village.

The interaction with students, particularly young girls, at the visited locations left a heartening impression on the delegation. The students displayed enthusiasm, optimism, and a strong motivation to pursue education. The delegation had the opportunity to witness the preparation of mid-day meals at the school, fostering a direct connection with the local educational environment.

Foreign officers engaged in meaningful interactions with students, contributing to a mutually enriching experience. The Sub Primary Health Centre showcased notable features like telemedicine and teleconsultation services provided by the Nursing officer. The fixed weekly schedule of officers attending to grievances in the panchayat also garnered appreciation for its systematic approach.

The day concluded with a compelling presentation by the Jeevika group, which left a lasting impact on the delegation. The group, exuding confidence, exemplified true women empowerment, having carved an independent niche for themselves in society. Their commendable groundwork on social causes, such as advocating for an alcohol ban and contributing to the Swachh Bharat Mission, earned well-deserved recognition.

Accompanying the delegation were SDO Danapur and ASP Danapur, enhancing the collaborative nature of the visit. The officers’ interaction with diverse aspects of community life and development projects provided a comprehensive understanding of the region’s progress and challenges.
