Gaya District Magistrate Conducts Inspection of IIM Bodh Gaya Campus
Gaya: Dr. Thiagarajan SM, the District Magistrate of Gaya, conducted a thorough inspection of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya campus on Wednesday, overseeing various aspects of infrastructure and development initiatives.
During the inspection, Dr. Thiagarajan SM toured the entire campus, focusing on crucial elements such as the drainage system. He engaged with officials from the Minor Water Resources Department and the Municipal Council Bodhgaya, urging them to collaborate in enhancing the campus drainage system for improved functionality.
Additionally, the District Magistrate issued directives to the Project Director of NH for the repair of the access road leading to IIM Bodh Gaya from Bodhgaya Dam. He also instructed the Executive Engineer of the Road Construction Department (RCD) to expedite the ongoing road widening project from Sikaria Mod to Domuhan via the Airport.
The inspection was attended by a multitude of officials, including the Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, senior representatives from the institute, as well as various government functionaries such as the Assistant Collector, Additional Collector Revenue, Sub-Divisional Officer Sadar, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Bodh Gaya, Additional Collector Law and Order, District Minority Welfare Officer, District Supply Officer, Executive Officer Municipal Council Bodh Gaya, Block Development Officer, Circle Officer, and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Vinita Singh Sahay, director of IIM Bodh Gaya provided insights into the ongoing construction work being carried out by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) at an estimated cost of Rs 412 crore. He mentioned that the campus is expected to be handed over by March-April this year, highlighting its comprehensive infrastructure, including academic blocks, libraries, auditoriums, sports facilities, and residential accommodations.
IIM Bodh Gaya offers a range of fully residential program courses, attracting over 1100 students enrolled in programs such as the Postgraduate Program in Management, MBA Digital Management, MBA Hospitality and Health course, among others.
