Muzaffarpur: Langat Singh College in Muzaffarpur marked the 79th anniversary of India’s independence with traditional fervour and enthusiasm. The celebrations began with Principal Kanupriya paying homage to prominent national leaders whose statues stand on the college campus, offering floral garlands as a mark of respect.
The national flag was hoisted at the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Smriti Park, followed by an address from Kanupriya. She urged students, staff, and attendees to embrace the “Amrit Kaal” of independence with renewed faith in the nation. Stressing the importance of individual responsibility, she called on all to contribute towards spreading education and values, and to work collectively for a brighter future for coming generations.
She expressed confidence that through unity and dedication, the college could achieve new benchmarks in academic excellence.
The event also featured a cultural programme in the college auditorium, with NCC cadets performing songs, dances, and a parade that concluded with a salute to the principal. Teachers, staff, and a large number of students participated in the celebration, reflecting the spirit of the occasion.
