Tejashwi Alleges BJP’s Chandigarh-Style Scandal: Accuses Vote Rigging in Overnight Electoral Maneuvers
Patna: The Jan Vishwas Yatra led by former Deputy CM of Bihar, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, encountered chaos as it reached Bhojpur on its third day. The incident unfolded during a public meeting at Padav ground in Nayaka Tola, Jagdishpur, where the crowd’s enthusiasm led to the breaking of several chairs. Responding to the uproar, Tejashwi truncated his speech abruptly within 10 minutes and departed for Buxar.
Prior to the Bhojpur episode, Tejashwi had visited Chhapra and Siwan as part of his itinerary. During his address in Siwan, he leveled significant accusations against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging irregularities akin to those witnessed in the Chandigarh Mayor election, had marred the assembly elections in Bihar.
“The people of Bihar entrusted victory to the RJD in the 2020 assembly elections. Despite the party’s triumph forecasted by all exit polls, BJP and NDA resorted to overnight rigging, perpetrating irregularities in ten constituencies,” remarked Tejashwi.
Asserting the purpose of their journey, Tejashwi emphasized, “We are here to regain the people’s trust. We had no intention of aligning with Nitish Kumar for a second term. However, Kumar sought reconciliation with my father, and we reluctantly formed the government again, only to be deceived once more.”
In a scathing critique of Bihar’s political landscape, Tejashwi remarked, “Prominent leaders are capitulating to BJP and Modi, submitting to their whims. No amount of persecution will subdue Lalu and his progeny. Once, we likened BJP to a washing machine, but now it resembles a receptacle, absorbing all forms of political detritus.”
Following the Siwan engagement, Tejashwi Yadav proceeded to address a public gathering in Marhaura, Saran, underscoring the momentum of his Jan Vishwas Yatra.
