Shah Targets Sonia-Lalu: Aims for Son as PM and CM; Vows Crackdown on Land Mafia in Patna

Patna: Paliganj, located in the outskirts of Patna, witnessed Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressing the Backward-Extremely Backward General Conference organized by the BJP OBC Morcha on Saturday. In a speech spanning approximately 18 minutes, Shah invoked the names of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav 11 times and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi 6 times, while also addressing issues of corruption and nepotism.

Taking aim at Sonia and Lalu, Shah remarked on their purported intentions to elevate their family members into positions of power. “The top brass of the Congress have always taken care of their families. In the name of backward people, Lalu-ji also lived his entire life for his family. Sonia Gandhi’s only goal is to make Rahul Gandhi the prime minister, while Lalu-ji’s aim is to make his son the chief minister,” Shah stated.

Shah also referenced the arrest of BJP stalwart Lal Krishna Advani in Bihar three decades ago, attributing the incident to Lalu. However, Shah asserted that Lalu was unable to impede Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership during the Ayodhya consecration ceremony.

Addressing concerns of mafia influence and lawlessness, Shah pledged to dismantle criminal networks and restore order.

Turning his attention to land grabbing allegations, Shah vowed to establish a committee to investigate such cases, particularly those allegedly linked to Lalu. He accused Lalu of neglecting the interests of OBCs and extremely backward classes, accusing him of facilitating land grabs at the expense of marginalized communities.

Shah’s remarks also alluded to ongoing investigations into corruption scandals during Lalu’s tenure as Railway Minister, implicating members of his family. Promising robust action against land mafias, Shah emphasized the resolve of the NDA government in Bihar to address such issues.

“As the NDA government returns to Bihar, we will not tolerate land mafias. A committee will be established to investigate all instances of land grabbing and recommend strict measures,” Shah affirmed during his first visit to Bihar since Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s return to the NDA alliance.

Shah confidently claimed victory in all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar for the upcoming elections.
