Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked his 75th birthday on Today, with celebrations across India reflecting both devotion and political fervour. In the Bihar capital, BJP workers gathered at Kali Ghat early in the morning to honour the prime minister in a specially arranged ceremony.
An oil painting of PM Modi was anointed with 75 kilograms of milk and Ganga water, followed by a traditional aarti. The ceremony concluded with the cutting of a birthday cake, as party workers waved flags and paid tribute. Many BJP supporters described their electoral ambitions—pledging to deliver 225 seats in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections—as a birthday gift to the prime minister.
Political leaders also joined in the felicitations. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar extended his greetings on social media, writing: “Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on his birthday. Wishing him a healthy and long life.”
Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha also shared messages of admiration. Chaudhary described Modi as a “paragon of determination” and the “Vishwakarma of modern India,” while Sinha praised the prime minister’s leadership, calling him “history-making” and highlighting his vision for a “Developed India 2047.”
