Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Returns from Foreign Tour, Speculation Rife on Cabinet Expansion and NDA Seat Sharing

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Explores Science Museum London, Plans for Innovation in Patna Science City

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived back in Bihar on Monday after concluding his overseas trip. He landed in Delhi from England on Monday afternoon, proceeding to Patna via a Vistara flight. The Chief Minister, however, chose not to engage with the media at Patna airport, offering a brief wave from the confines of his car before heading straight to his residence.

CM Nitish embarked on his trip to England on March 7, during which he visited the London Science Museum and subsequently journeyed to Scotland, where he explored the Glasgow Science Centre. Despite his scheduled return set for March 13, the Chief Minister opted to cut short his trip by two days.

Sources within the NDA alliance suggest that discussions regarding seat sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections may soon reach fruition, with a significant meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) scheduled to take place in Delhi on Monday evening. BJP State President and Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary, along with Vijay Kumar Sinha, have departed for the capital to participate in this crucial gathering.

Simultaneously, rumors abound regarding a potential cabinet expansion slated for March 15, as the current government boasts nine ministers and may see an increase in its ranks. This move is anticipated to follow the completion of the Legislative Council election process by March 14. Despite mounting speculation, leaders from both the Janata Dal (United) and BJP remain tight-lipped, with BJP officials merely affirming that the cabinet expansion is imminent.
