Patna: Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh, the National President-elect of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), expressed his intent to contest the upcoming elections from the Nawada Lok Sabha constituency under the banner of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Dr. Singh made this announcement during a press conference held at the IME Hall in Patna.

Reflecting on his deep connection with the Nawada parliamentary constituency, Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh said, “The people of Nawada have always showered me with their love, blessings, and affection, and I have endeavored to reciprocate by serving them dedicatedly.”

He emphasized his emotional attachment to various regions within the constituency, including Barbigha, Warsaliganj, and Hisua, which he regards as his home due to his extensive medical and social service activities there.

Dr. Singh also urged the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, to contest the elections from Nawada, drawing parallels with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s past decision. “The forthcoming elections mark a crucial juncture, akin to the last decade where Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have propelled the nation’s development to unprecedented heights,” he remarked. “With the NDA alliance poised to sweep Bihar with a resounding victory, Nawada presents a fitting choice, given its illustrious history and significance.”

Reflecting on his personal journey and the influence of Prime Minister Modi, Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh expressed admiration for the Prime Minister’s dedication and resolve. “I draw inspiration from Prime Minister Modi’s tireless efforts towards societal welfare and nation-building,” he stated. “Having grown up in a farmer family in Barbigha, I have experienced poverty firsthand. My 43-year-long career in medicine has been guided by a commitment to serving the underprivileged.”

Responding to the persistent requests from the people of Nawada urging him to represent them, Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of local leadership. “The leader should be one with deep roots in the community,” he affirmed. “My allegiance lies with the BJP and its allies, particularly the LJP led by Ram Vilas Paswan. I seek the blessings and support of the esteemed Prime Minister, the Home Minister, as well as the state leadership, to represent the Nawada Parliamentary Constituency.”

Dr. Sahajanand Prasad Singh concluded by expressing his unwavering commitment to fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to him, leaving the final decision to his family and the people of Nawada.
