Patna: Students in Bihar will now have a new and exciting opportunity to learn about space and modern science. Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna, has signed an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KodiMaths to introduce innovative space science education across the state. This collaboration will allow students to gain practical knowledge about space, technology, and global scientific concepts that were earlier not easily accessible to them.
AKU Vice-Chancellor Sharad Kumar Yadav said that the main goal of this agreement is to connect children from every district with space science and prepare them for future challenges. He added that the university wants to inspire students from even the smallest towns and villages to dream big and explore careers in the field of space and technology. “We want every child in Bihar to feel that becoming a space scientist or researcher is possible,” Yadav said.
KodiMaths’ popular programme, the International Space Science Olympiad, which is already well-known in several countries, will now be available to students in Bihar. This Olympiad will reach schools in every district, allowing students to take part in global competitions and show their talent on an international stage. It will also help them learn how scientists around the world think and work, giving them real-world exposure to scientific challenges.
This partnership is being seen as a major step forward for Bihar’s education system. It will encourage students to move beyond traditional career paths like engineering and medicine and explore new areas such as astronomy, robotics, and space research. Vice-Chancellor Yadav said that this initiative will not only benefit students but will also help make Bihar known as a centre for modern science education. Through this programme, a new generation of young scientists from Bihar could soon contribute to India’s growing achievements in space exploration.
