Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Grace IIM Bodh Gaya’s Convocation Ceremony
Bodhgaya: Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, is set to attend the convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)- Bodh Gaya as the Chief Guest, scheduled for April 7. The event marks a significant milestone for IIM- Bodh Gaya as it will be the first convocation ceremony of the recently inaugurated campus of the institute.
This historic convocation ceremony will witness the presence of the Vice President for the first time, adding to the anticipation surrounding the event. The management of IIM is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to orchestrate a memorable occasion.
Amidst the buzz, security arrangements are being meticulously handled by the Gaya police, tasked with ensuring the safety of the distinguished guests and maintaining order during the proceedings. Senior Superintendent of Police, Ashish Bharti, affirmed the vigilance of the Gaya police, highlighting the coordination efforts undertaken with IIM officials to bolster security measures.
A meeting convened at the IIM Bodh Gaya campus on Tuesday brought together key stakeholders, including the Director of IIM Bodh Gaya, security personnel, and police officials, to strategize and streamline security protocols. The Senior Superintendent of Police personally inspected the venue and issued directives to fortify administrative and law enforcement measures, assuring stringent security arrangements for the event.
The upcoming convocation holds significance not only for IIM but also for Bodh Gaya, a site of spiritual importance. Notably, the Vice President had previously visited Vishnupad in Gaya in September 2023, accompanied by his family, to perform ancestral rituals, including Pind Daan, underscoring the personal connection to the region.
