Patna: With political campaigning intensifying ahead of the Bihar elections, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha has launched a sharp attack on the Grand Alliance, accusing it of misleading the public over the SIR (Special Investigation Report) issue and neglecting marginalised communities during its tenure.
Speaking to Media, Kushwaha claimed that the opposition’s rhetoric on SIR had failed to resonate with voters. “They were shouting loudly about SIR, but what did they achieve? Is SIR even a topic of discussion among people today? The public has already rejected them,” he said.
Taking aim at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad, Kushwaha alleged that Dalits and backward communities were sidelined during Yadav’s 15-year rule in Bihar. “When Lalu Prasad Yadav was in power, no Dalit was allowed to become a ward member. Not only women from Dalit and extremely backward families, but even men were kept out of grassroots representation,” he said.
Praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA government, Kushwaha credited them with implementing policies that advanced social equality. “When Nitish Kumar took power, the NDA government enacted crucial policies that ensured greater representation for Dalits and backward classes. They have gained both dignity and recognition in society,” he said.
Kushwaha further accused the Grand Alliance of seeking to regain power through false promises, asserting that the NDA would return to government with a clear majority. “Just as it was already decided in the Mahabharata who would win, it is equally certain that the NDA will form the government in Bihar,” he declared.
