Lalu Prasad Kicks Off Election Campaign in Chapra Amidst Enthusiastic Reception

Chhapra: In a significant move ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, accompanied by former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and their daughter and RJD candidate Rohini Acharya, made a notable appearance in Chapra on Wednesday. This marks Lalu Prasad’s first visit to Chapra since the announcement of the election. The trio’s arrival was met with anticipation as they inaugurated the newly constructed RJD office in the area.

Addressing a gathering of party workers, Lalu Prasad expressed gratitude to the people of Saran for their unwavering support throughout his political journey. He acknowledged the pivotal role Saran played in shaping his political career, highlighting the trust and confidence the constituents had bestowed upon him. However, he didn’t mince words in criticizing Rajiv Pratap Rudy, accusing him of misleading the people of Saran with false promises regarding the Marhaura sugar mill.

The newly inaugurated RJD office in Saran will serve as the headquarters for Lok Sabha candidate Rohini Acharya, who will also be residing in the building until the conclusion of the elections.

The atmosphere in Chapra was charged with enthusiasm as a crowd of RJD workers gathered to welcome Lalu Prasad. Addressing the public meeting, he reiterated his commitment to the people of Saran and pledged to continue serving their interests.

In response to Lalu Prasad’s visit, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav remarked on the significance of Chapra in Lalu’s political journey. He emphasized the enduring support of the people of Saran and expressed confidence in Rohini Acharya’s ability to carry forward her father’s legacy.

Tejashwi also highlighted the broader India alliance under the leadership of Lalu Prasad, indicating that Lalu would be campaigning in other regions as well.

Despite the Saran elections being scheduled for the fifth phase, Lalu Prasad chose Chapra as the starting point for his election campaign. His presence in the region, accompanied by Rabri Devi and Rohini Acharya, signals a strategic move to bolster public relations and engage with constituents ahead of the elections.
