Vistara Flight Grounded at Patna Airport; Passengers Rerouted as Technical Team Arrives from Mumbai
Patna: A Vistara flight, identified as UK 717, encountered technical issues upon its arrival at Patna Airport from Delhi, leading to an unexpected delay for passengers. The malfunction was traced to a fault in the aircraft’s engine, prompting authorities to inform the passengers onboard.
Scheduled to depart for Delhi at 11 am after its arrival around 9 am, the flight’s plans were derailed by the unforeseen technical glitch. Engineers were promptly summoned from Mumbai to address the issue, with alternative flight arrangements made for affected passengers.
Subsequently, another Vistara flight, UK 718, bound for Delhi from Patna, faced a similar setback, forcing the cancellation of its journey due to technical complications. Despite passengers already being aboard and poised for takeoff at 10:45 am, the pilot detected a fault in the engine, necessitating their disembarkation.
With a total of 120 passengers and crew members affected, efforts to rectify the technical faults persisted throughout the day, with the arrival of a technical team from Mumbai. Despite the extensive repair attempts, the issues persisted until late evening.
Affected passengers were offered the option of a refund or rebooking on alternative flights. Consequently, 60 passengers opted for rebooking and were accommodated on a later flight scheduled for 4 pm, ensuring their eventual transit to Delhi.
