Samastipur: Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a fiery address to the masses gathered in Ujiarpur, Samastipur, on Monday, launching scathing attacks on the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) while rallying support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Speaking at an election meeting held on the premises of Narghoghi High School in Sarairanjan, Shah commenced his speech by extolling the virtues of Mother India and rallying for a decisive victory in Bihar, urging supporters to secure all 40 parliamentary seats.
“If Lalu Yadav’s lantern and claws aim to combat injustice, hunger, and poverty, then aligning with the NDA will furnish a double-engine government, propelling Bihar towards progress,” Shah proclaimed.
Asserting the pivotal role of the electorate in determining the next Prime Minister of India, Shah underscored the resounding chants of “Modi-Modi” echoing across the nation, imploring the people of Ujiarpur to cast their votes in favor of the Lotus symbol to ensure Narendra Modi’s re-election for a third term.
In a blistering critique, Shah targeted the Congress and RJD, accusing Lalu Prasad of cozying up to the Congress, with his associates embroiled in corruption scandals. He lambasted the Congress for allegedly undermining OBC reservation and derided it as the “biggest enemy” of backward communities, citing its historical opposition to the Mandal Commission.
Highlighting the BJP’s commitment to empowering marginalized sections, Shah lauded the elevation of Narendra Modi, a former tea seller, to the office of Prime Minister, citing it as a testament to the party’s dedication to uplifting the downtrodden. He emphasized the significant representation of backward communities in the Modi cabinet, with 27 ministers hailing from such backgrounds.
In a bid to galvanize support for Nityanand Rai, Shah declared him his “best friend” and implored voters to secure his victory in the elections, promising to elevate Rai’s stature within the political landscape.
Shah’s address marked his inaugural rally in Ujiarpur, eliciting palpable enthusiasm among BJP supporters. Prior to Shah’s appearance, Ujiarpur witnessed meetings led by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, underscoring the significance of Shah’s presence as the first national-level BJP leader to address constituents in the region.
