Patna: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the first officially certified round of counting from the Fatuha Assembly constituency, offering an early glimpse into the emerging trends of the Bihar election results. The data, published at 9.13am on Friday, shows the LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate, Rupa Kumari, taking a commanding early lead.
According to the round declaration form, Kumari secured 2,952 votes, placing her well ahead of her nearest rival, Dr Ramanand Yadav of the RJD, who received 1,836 votes in the first round. Jan Suraaj Party’s Raju Kumar followed with 539 votes, while Jiya Singh Lucy of the Adarsh Jankalyan Dal registered 59 votes.
Among the independent candidates, Ranadhir Kumar emerged on top with 80 votes, ahead of Brijbhan Ram (40) and Sanjeet Kumar (56). A total of 99 voters opted for NOTA.
The round-wise table released by the ECI shows a total of 5,846 votes counted across 14 polling tables in the opening round. Each table processed the votes from one electronic voting machine, with no carryover from previous rounds.
Across Bihar, the counting process is being conducted at 46 centres spread across 38 districts, with 14 tables set up in each counting hall. Fatuha is among the early constituencies where formal round-wise results have been declared, even as broader state-level trends continue to emerge gradually.
The ECI will continue releasing constituency-wise certified rounds through the day as counting progresses.
