New Delhi: In a significant meeting held in Delhi on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was elected as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parliamentary party. The meeting, which lasted over two hours at the old parliament building, featured speeches from 13 alliance leaders, but it was Nitish Kumar’s speech and a subsequent viral video that garnered the most attention.
During the meeting, after delivering his speech, Chirag Paswan approached Prime Minister Modi, who embraced him warmly. However, the most talked-about moment occurred when Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar moved towards the stage. As Nitish attempted to touch PM Modi’s feet in a gesture of respect, the Prime Minister swiftly held both his hands, engaging in a brief conversation while Kumar bowed his head in greeting.
In his address, Nitish expressed full support for PM Modi, stating, “Our party JD (U) supports BJP Parliamentary Party leader Narendra Modi for the post of Prime Minister of India. It is a matter of great happiness that he has been the PM for 10 years and is going to be the PM again. He has served the whole country and hope that he will complete everything next time.”
Nitish further assured unwavering support, emphasizing, “We will be with him completely all the time. We feel that whoever has won a little here and there, will lose the next time you come. Those people have not done any work.”
He also praised Modi’s leadership, saying, “You (Modi) will take the country forward. It is a matter of happiness. Your swearing-in should take place as soon as possible. We want it today itself. The whole country will benefit from this. There is no benefit to anyone who wants to do anything here and there. Everyone will work under your leadership.”
Prior to this, Nitish convened a meeting of the JD (U) parliamentary party in Delhi, which all elected MPs attended. This meeting lasted approximately one hour.
