Rajgir: The three-day Rajgir Festival will begin on December 19, with the Bihar tourism department and the Nalanda district administration confirming that all administrative preparations have been completed.
The festival will be held from December 19 to 21 at the Rajgir International Convention Centre (RICC) and the open ground near the hockey field. The programme features performances by the Bollywood singer Kailash Kher on the opening day, followed by Salman Ali on Saturday and Bhavya Pandit on the concluding day, according to officials.

Authorities said extensive arrangements had been made to ensure smooth conduct of the event, including security and traffic management, lighting, medical services and public amenities. Alongside cultural performances, the festival will host exhibitions, an agricultural fair, food and women’s festivals, sports events and street theatre. Other activities include cleanliness drives, interfaith prayers, decoration competitions for homes and hotels, and inauguration and closing ceremonies with awards to mark the conclusion of the event.
