Patna: The citizen-led development movement Let’s Inspire Bihar will hold the Bihar Development Summit 2026 in Hyderabad on January 18, expanding a national conversation on the state’s long-term growth following a large conclave in Bengaluru earlier this month.
The summit will take place at T-Hub, a major start-up and innovation hub, as the movement seeks to draw entrepreneurs, investors, academics and professionals from southern India into discussions on Bihar’s development prospects.
Founded in March 2021 by senior IPS officer Vikas Vaibhav, Let’s Inspire Bihar advocates a vision of a developed Bihar within a developed India by 2047. Central to its agenda is the aim of reducing migration from the state by strengthening access to education, employment and healthcare locally. The movement positions itself as non-partisan and inclusive, emphasising education, egalitarianism and entrepreneurship.
What began as a regional initiative has grown into a national network, with organisers saying it now connects more than 300,000 participants in India and overseas, including tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and senior corporate professionals. Through chapters across several states and countries, the group says it is mobilising expertise and investment to support a sustainable development ecosystem for Bihar.
That expanding footprint was on display at the Bihar @ 2047 Vision Conclave held recently in Bengaluru, which drew more than 1,200 delegates from across India and abroad. Participants included entrepreneurs, industry leaders, IT professionals and academics, who discussed a draft long-term roadmap for inclusive growth, entrepreneurship-led employment and institutional strengthening in Bihar.
The Hyderabad summit aims to build on that momentum by fostering cross-regional collaboration and positioning Bihar as a potential destination for investment and enterprise creation. According to the organisers, discussions will focus on start-ups, MSMEs, skills development and innovation-led growth, with an emphasis on translating policy intent into practical outcomes.
Several public representatives, educationists and social leaders are expected to attend, including Etala Rajender, along with legislators and community figures from Bihar and Telangana. Organisers say the diversity of speakers reflects the movement’s attempt to bring together voices from different regions and backgrounds around a shared development agenda.
A larger national gathering is planned next month in New Delhi, where the Bihar Development Summit 2026 will be held at Talkatora Stadium on February 22. The Delhi event is expected to consolidate policy discussion, citizen participation and institutional engagement around Bihar’s long-term vision.
With programmes already held in Bengaluru and planned in Hyderabad and Delhi, Let’s Inspire Bihar argues that India’s ambition of becoming a developed nation by 2047 is closely tied to Bihar’s transformation, and has called on entrepreneurs, professionals, students and academics to participate in what it describes as a collective nation-building effort.
