Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Exam Dates Announced Amidst Previous Paper Leak Scandal

Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Exam Dates Announced Admist Previous Paper

Patna: The Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Exam, marred by a previous paper leak incident, is set to be conducted from August 7th to August 28th, 2024. According to the latest notice issued by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBS), the examination will take place in a single shift from 12 noon to 2 pm across 38 districts of Bihar.

Initially scheduled for October 1st, 2023, the previous iteration of the exam was canceled due to a leaked paper, which prompted widespread controversy and scrutiny. The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) identified Sanjeev Mukhiya, alias Lutan, from Nagarnausa, Nalanda, as the mastermind behind the leak. Investigations revealed that Mukhiya and his accomplices intercepted question papers destined for Motihari from Patna, subsequently distributing answer keys for profit, exacerbating the scandal.

To facilitate a smoother examination process this time, candidates can check their exam date and district assignment starting July 15th by entering their registration number or mobile number along with their date of birth on the official website of the commission, www.csbc.bih.nic.in.

Guidelines have been strictly set for candidates, including a stipulated entry time until 10:30 am and the prohibition of electronic devices within examination premises. The CSBS has also outlined procedures for obtaining duplicate e-admit cards for those unable to download them online.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 21,391 vacant constable positions, with approximately 18 lakh applicants vying for selection. This year’s examination is streamlined into a single shift to manage logistical challenges and ensure a fair testing environment.

For further inquiries or assistance, applicants are advised to contact the Central Selection Board of Constable office located at 5, Harding Road, Patna 800001.
