Patna: Tej Pratap Yadav, leader of the Jan Shakti Janata Dal, has made his most explicit allegations yet against former associates, publicly naming individuals he described as “traitors” and accusing them of orchestrating a sustained campaign to defame and politically undermine him.
Speaking at a late-evening press conference on Sunday, Tej Pratap said the group had “left no stone unturned” in attempts to damage his reputation and isolate him politically. He warned that he would not spare those he accused of betrayal.
Tej Pratap, who formed his own party after breaking away from the Rashtriya Janata Dal and distancing himself from his family led by Lalu Prasad, claimed a “well-planned conspiracy” was underway against him. He said he had recently spoken to Samrat Choudhary, who had assured him of a follow-up conversation within a day or two.
The remarks came amid a swirl of rumours earlier on Sunday suggesting that Tej Pratap had become a father and that a woman named Anushka Yadav had given birth to a baby girl. The speculation intensified after Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi publicly congratulated Tej Pratap and Anushka, a gesture that appeared to anger the Jan Shakti Janata Dal leader.

Addressing the reports directly at around 8.30pm, Tej Pratap categorically denied the claims, calling them “completely false”. He said he had no relationship with Anushka and rejected suggestions that he had a daughter.
Tej Pratap also alleged that his social media account had been hacked and that photographs were being circulated without his consent. He said the same group he accused of betrayal was responsible both for the spread of false information and for the circumstances that led to his estrangement from his family.
In a move that marked a sharp escalation, Tej Pratap named five individuals he said were involved in the alleged conspiracy, listing them in what he described as their order of involvement: Mukesh Roshan, former MLA from Mahua; Sanjay Yadav; Ramiz; Shakti Singh Yadav; and Sunil Singh.
Sanjay Yadav is a Rajya Sabha member of the RJD, while Sunil Singh serves in the legislative council. Shakti Singh Yadav is a party spokesperson, and Ramiz is widely regarded as being close to Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
Neither the RJD nor the individuals named responded immediately to the allegations.
