Patna: Bihar deputy chief minister and chairman of Bihar Foundation Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, actively engaged with the migrant Bihari community during an event organized by the Japan Chapter of Bihar Foundation in Tokyo, Japan’s capital, on Sunday.
In his address to the attendees, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the integral role played by Bihari migrants in the rich cultural fabric of the state. He underscored their reputation for diligence, integrity, and accountability, highlighting the potential for Bihar to become a hub of skilled labor with the concerted channeling of resources and expertise.
“We recognize that the intersection of technology and the ambitions of the young Biharis is ushering in new prospects within the state. We place great trust in the enthusiastic NRI Biharis who will leverage their knowledge and experiences to propel Bihar’s transformation into a leading state,” Tejashwi said.
The deputy CM further outlined the state government’s commitment to harnessing the creative and innovative spirit of Biharis through the implementation of various public welfare schemes, developmental initiatives, and policies. Notably, the introduction of a film policy aimed at promoting the film industry, a sports policy to bolster sporting activities, a tourism policy to elevate Bihar’s tourism sector on the global platform, and an Information & Technology policy to boost the IT industry are in the final stages of implementation.
Tejashwi emphasized Bihar’s status as one of the country’s youngest states, emphasizing the government’s focus on generating numerous job opportunities for the youth, facilitating self-employment ventures, and enhancing the state’s infrastructure, education, law enforcement, and healthcare systems.
The deputy CM expressed optimism about the abundance of talent in Bihar, stressing the need to tap into this potential and foster a new and developed Bihar through cutting-edge technology, skill development, collaborative teamwork, and concerted efforts.
During his interaction with individuals of Bihar origin, Tejashwi underscored the unifying sentiment embedded in the shared identity of being a Bihari, portraying it as a binding thread that unites the community. He lauded the commendable efforts of the Bihar Foundation, specifically acknowledging the Japan Chapter’s significant contributions.
The event witnessed the participation of key figures, including Abhay Singh, Secretary of the IT and Tourism Department, Nand Kishore, Managing Director of Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, Anand Vijay Singh, President of Bihar Foundation Japan Chapter, along with several other prominent personalities and attendees from the Bihar-origin community.
