Patna: In a significant development for Bihar’s industrial growth, Deepak Agarwal, Joint Managing Director of Supershakti Steel, met Industries Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal and proposed an investment of Rs 6,000 crore to set up a modern steel plant in the state.
During the meeting, Agarwal presented plans for establishing an advanced steel manufacturing facility aimed at strengthening Bihar’s industrial base. The proposed project is expected to boost large-scale employment generation and enhance the state’s overall production capacity.
Industries Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal assured full support from the state government, highlighting Bihar’s progressive industrial policies, improved infrastructure, and investor-friendly environment. He said the government is committed to promoting industrial investment and transforming Bihar into a manufacturing hub.
Officials described the proposed steel plant as a major step toward reinforcing the state’s industrial landscape. The investment is likely to create substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities, accelerate industrial output, and provide momentum to the local economy. It is also expected to encourage the growth of ancillary and small-scale industries in the region.
