Patna: The Bihar government is set to organise a two-day Women’s Mega Job Fair 2026 in Patna, offering employment opportunities to women across the state. The event will be held on March 16 and 17 at Gyan Bhawan, where jobseekers will have the chance to directly interact with recruiters from more than 50 national and multinational companies.
Officials said the job fair is expected to create employment opportunities for over 2,000 women. The programme is being organised by the Women and Child Development Corporation (WCDC) under the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Bihar. Women trained under the corporation’s skill development programmes as well as those associated with the Bihar Skill Development Mission will be able to connect with potential employers.
A key feature of the event will be on-the-spot interviews and recruitment. Company representatives will assess candidates based on their skills, experience and qualifications, and selected candidates may receive immediate job offers or appointment letters. Recruiters from sectors such as information technology, retail, healthcare, banking, customer service, manufacturing and other service industries are expected to participate.
Authorities have said that participation slots are limited, and interested candidates are encouraged to register early. Women can complete free registration through the official website of the Women and Child Development Corporation at wcdc.bihar.gov.in before attending the event.
The job fair is open to women from all social categories, with educational qualifications ranging from Class 10 and Class 12 to graduates, technical diploma holders and ITI certificate holders. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 35 years. Candidates attending the interview are required to bring essential documents including their Aadhaar card, updated resume, copies of educational certificates and passport-sized photographs.
