Patna Zoo to Welcome Baby Care and Feeding Center
Patna: In a thoughtful move to enhance the experience for visitors, particularly mothers and their little ones, the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, commonly known as Patna Zoo, is set to introduce a dedicated baby care and feeding center. Slated for completion near gate number one, this much-anticipated facility is expected to be operational by December 15, with the official approval from the Central Zoo Authority of India and construction already underway.
Amid a daily influx of over 6,000 visitors to the zoo, it has become evident that more than 500 women arrive with their children, often struggling to find a convenient and comfortable space for breastfeeding and tending to their infants. Acknowledging this challenge, the decision to establish the baby care and feeding center was made.
The forthcoming center aims to provide a secure and accommodating environment for mothers to nurse their babies. Additionally, it will offer provisions for changing diapers and clothing, ensuring a hassle-free experience for families exploring the zoo, an official said.
Officials further disclosed plans to replicate this thoughtful initiative at Rajdhani Vatika, commonly known as Eco Park. Discussions are currently in progress to establish similar centers near both gate numbers one and two at Eco Park. These centers will be equipped with women’s restrooms and facilities for changing infants’ attire.
The introduction of these baby care and feeding centers reflects a commitment to providing an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for visitors, guaranteeing that the joys of exploring the zoo and Eco Park are accessible and enjoyable for families with young children, the official said.
