Anti-Encroachment Drive Conducted in Different Areas of Patna
Patna: An anti- eviction drive was launched in the city on Monday involving different government agencies working in a coordinated manner to remove encroachments from streets different areas.
A team of officials and personnel from a multitude of departments, including district administration, Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), Traffic Police, Transport, Revenue, Road Construction, Health, Police, Fire Brigade, Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited, Forest Division, joined forces to enforce the encroachment removal campaign.
In the New Capital area of PMC, the encroachment eradication campaign unfolded today from 10:30am to 3:30pm, liberating the vicinity from encroachments on both sides of the BN College boundary to the Civil Court Gate. The operation resulted in the dismantling of an iron kiosk, two carts, and the seizure of a bench.
Simultaneously, encroachment removal activities were carried out in the Patliputra area, stretching from Gandhi Maidan to Pataliputra Digha Ghat, as well as in the Bankipur area. Notably, the Bankipur campaign yielded the collection of a fine of Rs8,500.
In Kankarbagh, encroachment removal extended from Shalimar Sweets to 9to9 at Rajendra Nagar. During this operation, four stalls and one rickshaw were seized, and a fine of Rs11,400 was collected.
Further, a campaign targeting the Municipal Council Danapur saw temporary encroachments removed from Gola Road and Nehru Path. A total of 35 illegal posters, banners, and hoardings were eliminated, and a fine of RS8,000 was collected.
Cumulatively, these encroachment eradication efforts resulted in the collection of a fine amounting to Rs 27,900 across various areas.
