Patna: Authorities in Patna have announced extensive traffic diversions and restrictions across the city ahead of the Chaiti Chhath festival, as thousands of devotees are expected to gather at riverfront ghats.
The measures, implemented by the traffic police, will be in force in two phases — from 12pm to 7pm on March 24, and from 2am to 8am on March 25 — primarily affecting roads leading to the Ganga ghats.

• Kargil Chowk ➝ Didarganj (East side) completely closed

🚗 Parking Rules
• Only devotees’ vehicles allowed (via Khajanchi Road)
• Parking: Patna College & Science College campuses
• Devotees need to walk afterwards🚶♂️
🌉 JP Ganga Path (Marine Drive)
• ❌ Fully closed for vehicles
• ❌ No parking allowed
• ❌ No U-turns at Digha Roundabout
🚦 Digha – Ashiana Route
• North ➝ South movement closed during peak hours
🚫 Major Restrictions
• Atal Path (Digha ➝ R-Block) completely closed
• Ramjichak ROB ❌ No vehicle movement
• Construction vehicles banned (Mar 24, 10 AM ➝ Mar 25, 12 PM)
🛣️ Alternative Routes
• Use Old Bypass / New Bypass for Gaighat
• Canal Road (Nehru Path) via Ramjichak Mor during peak time
🌉 JP Setu Rules
• Heavy vehicles ❌ restricted
• Vehicles from JP Setu cannot go to Ganga Path
• Use approach road via Digha PS

• City buses won’t stop at Kargil Chowk
