Bhagalpur: The highly anticipated Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to commence operations between Bhagalpur and Howrah from Sunday, September 15. The announcement follows an inspection visit by DRM Manish Kumar Gupta of the Malda division, who arrived in Bhagalpur on Saturday, along with a team of railway officials.
DRM Gupta reached Bhagalpur at 4:10 p.m. after conducting inspections starting from Sultanganj. Upon receiving information about the visit, railway officials promptly gathered, and the inspection team arrived at 4 p.m. DRM Gupta disembarked from his special saloon on platform 2 and first proceeded to platform 6, where preparations for the Vande Bharat Express were underway.
As per the proposed schedule for September 15, a stage will be set up near the lift area at Bhagalpur station for the official launch of the Vande Bharat Express. DRM Gupta inspected the designated area and instructed officials to ensure the stage is built in a way that allows for a smooth green flag-off ceremony. Special seating arrangements are being made to accommodate around 2,000 to 2,500 people for the inaugural event.
During his visit, DRM Gupta directed Senior DME SK Tiwari to oversee the onboard information system that will provide passengers with real-time updates throughout the journey. Passengers will receive details such as the next station, train speed, and remaining travel time. DRM Gupta emphasized the importance of having all relevant information properly integrated into the train’s system and software.
In response, Senior DME Tiwari assured that preparations similar to those used for the Amrit Bharat train in Malda would be implemented for the Vande Bharat Express, ensuring a seamless experience for passengers.
The Vande Bharat Express, known for its high speed and modern facilities, is expected to greatly improve connectivity between Bhagalpur and Howrah, providing a fast and efficient travel option for commuters.
