Four Patna Students Selected for ISRO Visit in Space Exploration Campaign
Patna: Four students from Patna district have been selected for an exclusive visit to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru. The District Education Office has forwarded the names of the students to the Bihar Education Project Council, which is coordinating the selection of students across the state for the visit. The campaign is aimed at students who topped the district-level annual examination for Class 9 and the board examination for Class 10.
The initiative will include a total of 100 students from various districts of Bihar. From Patna, the selected students are Muskan and Muskan Kumari from Government Girls High School, Gardanibagh, Shubham Kumar from Patna Collegiate School, and Rahul Kumar from SLB High School, Punpun. According to the Bihar Education Project Council, 20 teachers from these districts will also participate in the campaign, with priority given to those who have contributed to organising science exhibitions, seminars, and quizzes.
The programme will see one boy and one girl from each district visiting ISRO’s Bengaluru centre to learn about space exploration. In districts with more than 18 blocks, two boys and two girls will be selected. Teachers will accompany the students as guides, with four teachers chosen from Patna and two from each of the other districts, including Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Chapra, Saharsa, Munger, Purnia, and Gaya.
District Education Officer Sanjay Kumar stated that the final list of teachers is being compiled and will be submitted to the council soon. The initiative aims to inspire young students by giving them direct exposure to the field of space research and science.
