Patna: A two-day business conclave organised by the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries will be held on May 23 and 24 as part of its centenary celebrations.
The conclave will be inaugurated by Lieutenant General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain on May 23, according to Chamber President PK Agarwal.
Focus on Industrial and Economic Development
The main objective of the conclave is to deliberate on the possibilities for industrial and economic development in Bihar. Discussions during the event will focus on improving the investment climate in the state and identifying measures needed for industrial expansion.
According to the organisers, the conclave will also examine policy-level challenges affecting industries and explore ways to strengthen coordination between the government and business community.
Representatives From Across the Country to Participate
Around 300 representatives from more than 100 chambers of commerce and business organisations are expected to attend the event.
The inaugural session will include a symposium on business, politics and development, where experts from different sectors will present their views on economic growth and industrial policy.
Memorandum to Be Submitted to State Government
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary is expected to inaugurate the concluding session on May 24. Invitations for the event have already been sent, organisers said.
Representatives attending various sessions will also be given an opportunity to present their concerns and suggestions related to trade and industry.
The Chamber said all recommendations and issues raised during the conclave would be compiled into a joint memorandum and submitted to the Bihar government for consideration in future policy reforms and industrial planning.
