Patna: In a moment of pride for the state, Secretary of the Labor Resources Department, Deepak Anand, honored two remarkable youths, Rajesh Sharma and Amit Kumar, for their achievements at the World Skills Olympics 2024. The ceremony took place in Anand’s office on Thursday, where both young men received mementos and well-wishes for their future endeavors. Rajesh, hailing from Samastipur, earned the prestigious Medalion of Excellence in cabinet making, showcasing the immense talent present in Bihar.

During the event, Anand emphasized the department’s commitment to enhancing youth participation in such prestigious competitions. He noted that there is no shortage of skill among Bihar’s young people and announced plans for the Bihar Skill Development Mission to support and promote participation on a larger scale. This initiative aims to ensure that more young talents are informed about opportunities to compete both nationally and internationally.

Anand described Rajesh and Amit as inspirations for their peers, encouraging more youths to showcase their skills. He reiterated the department’s focus on fostering a culture of competition and skill development in Bihar, with the hope of increasing participation in future World Skills Olympics.
