Aurangabad: Three women were killed and two others critically injured in a road accident involving a car and a tractor near Dadhpi village under the Goh police station area on the Daudnagar–Gaya road in Aurangabad district on Sunday.

According to local residents, the collision took place near the Dadhpi turn when a car carrying several passengers crashed into a tractor. Three women, including two young women, died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Mamta Kumari, wife of Upendra Yadav of Hichchan Bigha village under Daudnagar police station limits; her daughter Chulbul Kumari; and Khushi Kumari, daughter of Vinod Kumar of Dadwan village under the Uphara police station area.

Two other passengers, Samar Kumar and Muskan Kumari, son and daughter of Vinod Kumar, suffered serious injuries in the accident. They were initially treated at the Community Health Centre in Goh and later referred to Magadh Medical College and Hospital, Gaya, for advanced treatment due to their critical condition.

Family members and villagers said the victims were returning from the Madhushrama Malmas Fair in Arwal district’s Mehandia police station area when the accident occurred.

Villagers Stage Protest

Following the accident, angry villagers blocked the road and staged a protest. Demonstrators demanded compensation for the families of the deceased and called for the installation of speed breakers at the accident-prone location to prevent future mishaps.

Police Begin Investigation

Police personnel reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances leading to the collision. Further action is being taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
