Exhibition on Upcycling Waste Organized by Patna Women's College

Patna: The ECO Task Force and Srishti Environment Club of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University organized an exhibition titled “Best from Waste” on 30 September 2024, as part of the ‘Season of Creation’ celebrations. This exhibition aimed to highlight the innovative and sustainable art of upcycling waste materials into extraordinary creative works. The event showcased 18 models prepared by students, emphasizing the importance of recycling and preserving the environment.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Sister M. Jincy A.C., Superior of Avila Convent, who encouraged the students and spoke on the significance of environmental preservation. Principal Sister M. Rashmi A.C. also attended, commending the students for their efforts and highlighting how each displayed piece reflects a commitment to sustainable living and the potential of reusing materials in inventive ways.

The models displayed included items made from discarded materials such as plastic bottles, scrap metal, and old fabrics. The entire event was coordinated by Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Secretary of the ECO Task Force and Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, under the guidance of Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, Vice President of the ECO Task Force. Other attendees included Dr. Awadhesh Kumar, Dr. Sapna Kumari, Dr. Neetu, Sister M. Luveena A.C., Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, Ms. Sidra Parveen, and Ms. Aishwarya from the Zoology Department.
