Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Visits Patna Temples, Prays for State’s Prosperity on Maha Ashtami
Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the Sheetla Mata Temple at Agamkuan on the occasion of Maha Ashtami during Navratri. He inaugurated the development work of the boundary wall and other facilities at the ancient heritage site of Maa Sheetla Temple, as part of the ‘Chief Minister Area Development Scheme.’ The inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of a stone plaque.
Following the ceremony, Nitish Kumar offered prayers at the Sheetla Mata Temple. He then visited the Badi Patnadevi and Chhoti Patnadevi temples in Patna City, where priests performed rituals and chanted mantras. The Chief Minister prayed for the happiness, peace, prosperity, and progress of the state.
Additionally, Kumar reviewed the ongoing renovation work at the Badi Patnadevi Temple, instructing officials to expedite the project. He also visited the Shri Shri Badi Devi Ji and Shri Shri Dalhatta Devi Ji temples in Marufganj to offer prayers to Maa Bhagwati Durga.
During his visit to Marufganj, the Marwari Seva Samiti honored the Chief Minister with an Angavastra, a Pag, and symbolic gifts. Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Gopal Singh, District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra were present, along with organizers and devotees.
