Land acquisition for Multi Logistics Park in Fatuha to be completed by 2025
Patna: The Industry Department is set to receive land for the construction of the Multi Logistics Park in Fatuha by 2025, with work expected to begin by 2027. Currently, 26 acres of land have been acquired, and 28 farmers have received over ₹8 crore in compensation. The process of acquiring an additional 79 acres is ongoing, with the government set to pay ₹167 crore in compensation.
Efforts to acquire land for the park have been in progress since 2022, but finding suitable locations with adequate connectivity delayed the project. Site selection and layout preparation took 13 months. The demand for a Multi Logistics Park in Bihar has been growing, as other states like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and West Bengal already have such facilities.
Once completed, the park will feature various amenities, including transportation facilities, a cargo terminal, a warehouse, cold storage, and a medical center. There will also be a restaurant, sleeping quarters for drivers, a fuel center, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Farmers whose land is being acquired for the park are being compensated not only for the land but also for the loss of structures like hand pumps, boring machines, and houses. This greenfield project is set to bring modern logistics infrastructure to Bihar, aiding in its economic development.
