Technical Expertise and People Management Vital for Success in Corporate Landscape: BPCL Officer at IIT Patna

Patna: Confidence, people management, and technical knowledge are key factors for success in today’s competitive corporate environment, said Ramesh Meena, Regional Officer of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), during a session on “Energy Management and Leadership” organized by the Centre for Career Development and Counseling (CCDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna.
Meena was welcomed with a bouquet and a memento, accompanied by Ashwani Assam, PIC, S. K. Samanta, and Kripa Shankar Singh, Training and Placement Officer, IIT Patna.
During the session, Meena shared insights from his extensive experience in the petroleum industry. He discussed the evolution of oil companies in India, the complex operations of oil refineries, the role of public sector undertakings (PSUs), and the innovations shaping the petroleum and energy sectors.
A large number of B.Tech and M.Tech students attended the interactive session. Meena engaged with the audience, answering questions and providing clarity on various topics.
The session proved to be both enriching and inspiring for the students, offering them valuable perspectives on energy management and leadership in the industry.
