Patna: NTPC inaugurated a showroom for ash-based building materials at Exhibition Road, Patna, on August 13 under its ‘Vikalp’ initiative.
The showroom was inaugurated by Ravindra Kumar, Director (Operations), NTPC, in the presence of L. K. Behera, Regional Executive Director (East-1), NTPC, and C. Satya Rama Krishna, Executive Director, NTPC Barh.
Focus On Sustainable Ash Management
The ‘Vikalp’ initiative seeks to encourage the use of ash-based building materials and promote the effective and sustainable management of ash.
The new showroom displays a range of ash-based construction materials. It is intended to provide stakeholders in the construction sector and members of the public with information about their applications and environmental characteristics.
Promoting Ash-Based Construction Materials
Through the showroom, NTPC aims to improve awareness of the potential uses of ash-based materials in construction.
The initiative is also intended to support wider adoption of such materials as part of efforts towards sustainable ash utilisation.
