Patna: The Railways will introduce a new weekly Amrit Bharat Express between Dhanbad in Jharkhand and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, passing through Gaya and several major railway stations across central and southern India.
Regular operations of the train will begin on August 22, with Train No. 22363 Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express departing Dhanbad every Saturday at 4.10pm. The return service, Train No. 22364 Coimbatore-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express, will operate every Tuesday from August 25.
Dhanbad-Coimbatore Service
Train No. 22363 will depart from Dhanbad at 4.10pm on Saturdays. It will reach NSCB Gomoh at 4.40pm, Parasnath at 5pm, Hazaribagh Road at 5.23pm, Koderma at 6.02pm and Gaya at 7.30pm.
The train will subsequently halt at Anugrah Narayan Road at 8.21pm, Dehri-on-Sone at 8.40pm, Sasaram at 8.56pm, Bhabua Road at 9.30pm and DDU at 10.40pm.
The service will continue through Prayagraj Chheoki, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Balharshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Gudur, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Erode before reaching Coimbatore at 6.30pm on Monday.
Coimbatore-Dhanbad Return Service
Train No. 22364 will leave Coimbatore at 7.50am every Tuesday.
On Thursday, the train will reach DDU at 5.05am, followed by Bhabua Road at 5.56am, Sasaram at 6.30am, Dehri-on-Sone at 6.48am and Anugrah Narayan Road at 7.03am.
It will reach Gaya at 8.55am, Koderma at 10.25am, Hazaribagh Road at 11am, Parasnath at 11.18am and NSCB Gomoh at 11.48am. The train will subsequently reach Dhanbad at 1pm.
22-Coach Train
The Amrit Bharat Express will have 22 coaches, comprising eight Sleeper Class coaches, 11 General Second Class coaches, one pantry car and two LSLRD coaches.
The new service is expected to strengthen long-distance rail connectivity between Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
The route will provide passengers from these states with a direct weekly rail connection between Dhanbad and Coimbatore, including a scheduled halt at Gaya.
