Patna: Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy in Patna, announced on Raksha Bandhan that he would donate 50% of his ancestral property towards improving Bihar’s education system and supporting female students.
Anand said the decision was made in memory of his late brother, Prince Yadav, who he described as a social worker committed to social service.
Raksha Bandhan Celebrated At Gyan Bindu GS Academy
The academy organised its first Raksha Bandhan celebration for female students, with participants arriving from different districts of Bihar.
The event featured 84 varieties of food, including dry fruits, fruits, pulao, dal, raita and golgappas. Students attending the programme praised the food and the arrangements made by the institute.
The students also appreciated the quality of education and the support provided by the academy and its teachers.
Free Library Access And Books Announced
As part of the Raksha Bandhan celebrations, the institute announced free library access and books for students.
Anand said the academy was providing resources to help students continue their studies without facing difficulties.
He also said the annual Raksha Bandhan celebration was being organised in accordance with his late brother’s wish to mark the festival at the institute.
Property Donation In Brother’s Memory
Anand said Prince Yadav had remained active in social service and wanted to contribute to the welfare of society.
According to Anand, donating 50% of his ancestral property is intended to carry forward his brother’s vision by supporting Bihar’s education system and improving academic resources available to female students.
He said the Raksha Bandhan celebration would now be held at the academy every year.
