Railways to Operate Four Additional Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath in Bihar

Hajipur: To manage the increased passenger rush during Diwali and Chhath festivals, the Railways has announced the operation of four additional pairs of special trains for passengers’ convenience across key routes. These trains will cover important destinations such as Kota, Danapur, Patna, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Dauram Madhepura, and Chhapra.
The Kota-Danapur-Kota Special (Train No. 09803/09804) will operate between Kota and Danapur via stations like Guna, Sagar, and Prayagraj Chheoki. This train, with 19 third AC class coaches, will depart from Kota every Sunday and Thursday from October 27 to November 10, returning from Danapur on Mondays and Fridays until November 11. Departure times are set at 21:25 hrs from Kota and 21:30 hrs from Danapur.
The Patna-New Jalpaiguri-Patna Special (Train No. 05739/05740) will run every Saturday between Patna and New Jalpaiguri through stations such as Kishanganj and Barauni. Scheduled from November 2 to November 30, this train will feature first AC, second AC, third AC, third AC economy, and sleeper coaches. The train will leave New Jalpaiguri at 05:00 hrs, reaching Patna at 17:40 hrs, with the return journey departing from Patna at 19:30 hrs.
Additionally, the Katihar-Dauram Madhepura-Katihar Special (Train No. 07541/07542) will operate daily between Katihar and Dauram Madhepura through Purnia and Murliganj, from October 28 to November 30. This service departs from Katihar at 19:00 hrs and from Dauram Madhepura at 22:45 hrs.
The Katihar-Chhapra-Katihar Special (Train No. 05744/05743) will run from Katihar to Chhapra via Navgachhia and Hajipur on Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays, with return journeys on Fridays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from October 27 to November 29. This train will have second AC, third AC, sleeper, and general class coaches.
