Gaya/Patna: Devotees planning to visit Gaya for Pitru Paksha 2026 will have additional travel options as Railways has announced special trains from three cities to accommodate the expected rush.
Special trains will operate from Rani Kamlapati, Jabalpur and Sogaria to Gaya during the Pitru Paksha period. The services will provide additional connectivity for devotees travelling from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and several other cities along the routes.
Rani Kamlapati-Gaya Special Train
Train number 01661 Rani Kamlapati-Gaya Pitru Paksha Special will depart from Rani Kamlapati at 1:20 pm on September 7, 12 and 17, 2026. It will reach Gaya at around 9:30 am the following day.
The return service, train number 01662 Gaya-Rani Kamlapati Special, will depart from Gaya at 2:15 pm on September 10, 15 and 20.

The return service, train number 01706 Gaya-Jabalpur Special, will depart from Gaya at 2:15 pm.
